to break the routine of nothing... Jul. 19th, 2003 @ 12:05 am
The ice was quite pretty, sparkling in the sunlight. Julie loved the winter. The festivities, the lights, the excitement. She loved the soft feeling of snow flakes on her face. She loved how as the air became chillier, people's hearts warmed. It was her favourite part of the year and cherished every bit of it, even something as silly as ice. The ball rang, bringing her out of her thoughts. With the rest of her class, she rushed outside to get to her next class on time. Running too quickly, she slipped and fell and the world swirled before her.

umm… maybe we should post a LITTLE on stuff here so it doesn't stagnate

well, nobody's done anything here for awhile.... Jul. 13th, 2003 @ 08:43 pm
Belanna turned, panting, eyes wild with fear. They were surrounding her. There was nothing she could do, no where to go. She'd been pushed up against the wall, three guns leveled at her head. The S^E^T's that was chasing her where androgenous. The figure who appeared to be leading was taller then she was, which was saying something. It's face was obscured by a mask, full face, that probably provided protection against anything she'd be able to throw it's way. The Leader wasn't the only one to worry about either. Two slightly smaller figures, though, she was certain, no less dangerous, had equally nasty looking guns pointed at her head. "Things do not look good...why in the name of the Gods did I have to take that blasted parcel?" She thought to herself, certain it would be her last though.

Um, maybe we should try to transer the existing games into this communtiy (is that possible?) and then just have 3 or four going max at a time, at least for now. We don't need too many, that gets confusing. Then we can clear this place out, and have a comment post and a story post for each story. Sound good? Any one know how?

walking on a hill covered in silver grass
with Him
Eiluned woke up. Once again, it was as though her dreaming had been shattered by that sudden stop. She didn't understand the dreams… but every night they seemed more real. It was a fantasy world, where magic met technology, and she was more at home there than anywhere else.
She closed her eyes and tried to recall her most recent dream… but she was interrupted by her mother calling her down to breakfast.

A familiar scream pierced the silence. Shattered was the blanket of peaceful serenity that had befallen the happy cliche of suburbia Daya had the misfortune of living in. She awoke covered in a film of cold sweat. She'd been breathing hard, on the verge of hyperventilating. It'd been her own scream. She didn't remember much, except she'd been running. Away from something, but what? Even now, realizing that she was safe and sound in her own bedroom, she could not be comforted. It was as if she wasn't really safe. That whatever terrors haunted her at night never truly disappeared.

She swirled around, dancing to her own rhythm, laughing at the world, her full, patched skirt following her ankles. She tossed her arms up to the sky. The honey she'd just eaten crystalized on her full lips, lips that were currently smiling with more warmth than the summer sun. Her arms were open, reaching for and inviting anything, her green eyes flashing with pure delight. She turned and sprinted, epitomizing the energy of the hour, a beautiful spring day's mist rising up to greet her like a contented cat. She laughed aloud. It was her birthday, and she was five.
